After a two-week road trip - fun but sort of exhausting - we are ensconced in our little summer place. Happy to be here, but also missing our Mercado friends and wishing we could beam ourselves down for the 4th of July festivities. Sounds as if there is a total BLAST in the making. Have a wonderful time celebrating the birth of : first and foremost - JUSTIN !!!! , our Mercado community.... and oh yeah - our nation :-)
Thank you to the friends (you know who you are) who went out of their way to secure our home after the big BLOW the other day. So great to live in a place where everyone looks out for one another. With no apologies to Garrison Keillor. "The Mercado - where all the women are brilliant, the men are total studs, and the children are perfect.... and so are the dogs" (and cats and turtles)
Here's a shot of us so you don't forget what we look like.....and one of the Cascade Mountains taken about 25 miles from our house.
Miss you and see you later this month. xoxoxo Jane and Gordo
you are so missed ..... wednesdays walks are falling apart, the plaza has a void in the southeast corner (and i am not talking about the wind pickin it up, Dorothy, even though, it tried so hard to it, crazy ..... stonewall asked me to write to thank you for acknowledging her in the blog. she has been hibernating a bunch, she misses you 2 too.

Thank you for the birthday wish. Now what is this about the birth of our country? I keep hearing people mention that.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time in Washington.

Winds are powerful - looks like your little summer place is a restaurant. Aha! The other morning the water was pouring off the balcony and I sort of realized it was watering of the lime tree. Life is good, hip is not, miss you mucho!
